I see the game (They Are Billion) is now obfuscated. It's shameful that the development team doesn't feel it's acceptable for people to play the game the way they want to play it. I would never expect this from an Indie game, much less an Early Access title. I'm very disappointed in this decision, and it really makes me question where the priorities are aligned.
For those that don't understand: Obfuscation is the process of 'hiding' an executable's code (specifically, C# in this case) so that it cannot (easily) be reverse-engineered to alter. This may seem great at first - protecting your intellectual property and all that - but it's this type of behavior that limits the potential of a game, and I don't feel it should ever be applied to games for this reason.
This is shameful as it prevents people like myself from creating framework for others to create open-ended content in the form of DLL mods - which in turn limits just about everything about a game to EXACTLY what the developers intend, and nothing more.
Again, I am very disappointed to see this occur from such a game, as the possibilities of free-reign user-generated content would have been amazing. Shame on you, Numantian Games, shame on you.
