They are billions - Question for a noobie

Postby Spect96 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 5:55 pm

I need to ask for advice.

1) I always hit some sort of a road block around day 15-20. I should be expanding to a second city by then and I start really falling back in income and progress. I want to make a new city and expand at the same time, but I dont have enought resources to do all this and build an army, which can defend me from those stupid small swarms, which roam around the map and can overpower like 10 rangers with no issue and kill my new expansion. And the repair of everything costs lots of time and so on. Since Im currently on MAP 2 and you have to cover a big area with units. Yes, you can argue for constant wall offs, but that messes up with housing grids. I wouldnt care after I can secure my 2nd housing grid, but I am unable to do that. :/ How do you guys deal with this?

2) I have an issue with small swarms moving around the map. Until day 30-40 it takes for me to expand my 2nd housing cluster. It is slow, hence question no.1. But to get back, those smaller swarms consisting of maybe 50-60 zombies with some specials are hard to deal with with archers. By that time I have couple snipers of course but since they are so expensive and I need the ground coverage for expanding, its really hard to keep building snipers, expanding, building important structures, walling off and everything. So how do you deal with this problem economicaly?

My advice is don't be afraid to build walls then destroy them later.

You can manage with a smaller military up till between wave 2-3 as long as you don't mess with doom villages and keep your units on patrol.

Unlock the important research like farm > market > bank ASAP
