Direct X / Steam issue / They are billions won't start

Hi,

I purchased the soldier edition of They are Billions and have downloaded the game through steam. However, I cannot get the game to boot. The error seems to be related to DirectX / a missing .dll

My system:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80GHz
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 RAM
1535MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphics

Trying to boot through steam gives the following error message:

"It has been a problem loading one of the libraries. Please make sure that all the components that the game requires are correctly installed.

You have all the components in the installation folder of They Are Billions:

-DIRECTX RUNTIME:
_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSetup.exe

-SLIMDX RUNTIME:
SlimDXRuntime_x64.msi for 64 bits Windows or SlimDXRuntime.msi for 32 bits Windows.

-VISUAL LIBRARIES:
CommonRedist\vcredist\2017\c_redistx64.exe for Windows 64 bits, and vc_redistx86.exe for Windows 32 bits.


If I try to run from the executable TheyAreBillions.exe, I get the following System Error:

The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.


I have already tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling through steam
Verifying the integrity of the game files through steam
Running as an administrator


Can someone please help me figure out the root of the error? I'm really hoping to be able to play this game!

Hey Guys,

I have the same issue too. Tried everything:

- DirectX Runtime: They Are Billions\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSetup.exe
- SlimDX Runtime: They Are Billions\SlimDXRuntime_x64.msi for 64bits Windows or SlimDXRuntime.msi for 32 bits Windows.
- Visual Libraries: They Are Billions\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2017\vc_redist.x64.exe for Windows 64 bits, and vc_redist.x86.exe for Windows 32 bits.

Have uninstalled the game and reinstall back. Uninstall the DirectX, SlimDX, Visual Libraries and still the same.

Can someone help me?

Same problem.
Reinstalled all suites that comes in the installation folder, no answer...
